Peran Kepala Madrasah Dalam Menyukseskan Kebijakan Pendidikan Berbasis Karakter Islam

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran kepala madrasah dalam menyukseskan kebijakan pendidikan berbasis karakter Islam di MTSN 2 Medan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari kepala madrasah, wakil kepala bagian kesiswaan, guru, dan ketua komite yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran kepala madrasah dalam kebijakan pendidikan karakter Islam terlaksana melalui tiga tahap utama: formulasi kebijakan, implementasi kebijakan, dan evaluasi kebijakan. Pada tahap formulasi, kepala madrasah memimpin penyusunan program melalui Tim Pengembang Kurikulum serta memastikan integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam seluruh kegiatan madrasah. Pada tahap implementasi, kepala madrasah mendistribusikan tugas kepada guru, komite sekolah, dan wali kelas, serta menciptakan kerja sama yang solid untuk menjalankan program pembiasaan religius. Pada tahap evaluasi, kepala madrasah melakukan penilaian terhadap efektivitas program, kinerja guru, dukungan lingkungan sekolah, serta perubahan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala madrasah menjadi faktor kunci dalam keberhasilan kebijakan pendidikan karakter Islam.
